When the owner of Barbuda Cottages first reached out to us, they were looking for a website that did more than just provide information—they wanted something that would capture the natural beauty, relaxed charm, and off-the-beaten-path appeal of their beachfront vacation rentals in Barbuda. From our first conversation, it was clear this wasn’t just about building a website. It was about telling a story and offering a seamless, welcoming experience to potential guests.
We began the project by immersing ourselves in their brand, their values, and the destination itself. Barbuda is not your typical Caribbean resort—it’s remote, peaceful, and full of raw, natural beauty. The website needed to reflect that, while also making it easy for guests to check availability and book their stays with confidence. The client had a third-party booking platform already in use, so integrating it smoothly into the new design was a key priority.
Using WordPress as our CMS, we developed a custom site that balanced form and function beautifully. The visual layout is clean and airy, with colours and typography that echo the laid-back island vibe. We let the photos of the cottages and the surroundings do most of the talking, giving the site a calm, inviting feel. We also ensured the user journey—from discovering the cottages to completing a booking—was intuitive and frictionless.
The result is a website that not only looks and feels like Barbuda Cottages but also works hard behind the scenes to support their business goals. It’s mobile-friendly, easy for the client to update, and most importantly, it offers a user experience that mirrors the simplicity and serenity of a stay on the island.
